Sea of Sand
Walking under the same sun
that covered the body I love
somewhere, sometime,
you were and you are.
I know the place
and my feet
step into the same sand,
into the same water
I have cried
for the many secrets
that have died
between us.
For all the mornings with you
the lips of silence are sealed
over the loss of one word
never in the same sand,
never into the same water;
never did i know you,
never did you know me..
Am I again the one
who never knew you?..
Once touching your skin,
drinking soft blindness?
I'm bleeding into the night
that cut through the shroud
of a dead god.
At the end of the world
one ghost awaits for my passing;
the forever you
without you..
that covered the body I love
somewhere, sometime,
you were and you are.
I know the place
and my feet
step into the same sand,
into the same water
I have cried
for the many secrets
that have died
between us.
For all the mornings with you
the lips of silence are sealed
over the loss of one word
never in the same sand,
never into the same water;
never did i know you,
never did you know me..
Am I again the one
who never knew you?..
Once touching your skin,
drinking soft blindness?
I'm bleeding into the night
that cut through the shroud
of a dead god.
At the end of the world
one ghost awaits for my passing;
the forever you
without you..
